Trolleys were an important part of life in Connecticut during the late 1800s through the mid-20th century. In an age before family ownership of an automobile was common, the trolley gave the average person an affordable, convenient way to travel around town and between towns, creating many a suburban community. Use the frame on the left to navigate through a list of towns in Connecticut that had trolley service.
