Descr:The CA&E took over the bankrupt Aurora Elgin & Chicago's interurban service in 1922. The main line ran from Chicago to Wheaton with branches continuing to Elgin, Geneva, Batavia, and Aurora. Passenger service ended in 1957, freight service in 1959, and the railroad was scrapped in 1962.
