At the trolley museum, when we say "car" we usually mean a trolley car, with 4 or 8 steel wheels. So we're calling this the Antique Automobile Show to avoid confusion. At one time, trolley cars dominated the streets of our towns and cities, then shared those streets with automobiles, then eventually disappeared from most American streets. There are many auto shows each year, but only here at the Shore Line Trolley Museum show will you be able to see antique autos and antique trolleys, both in running condition, side-by-side, just as they were in bygone times. Come to the trolley museum on May 15, 2010. This unique event is sure to delight young and old alike. The regular museum admission price entitles you not only to trolley rides all day long, but also to admission to the auto show. The museum will open early this day, with the car show and first trolley rides opening at 9 AM. The car show will end at 3 PM. There will be light refreshments such as hot dogs and hamburgers available for purchase, or you are welcome to bring your own food. The museum has several picnic areas along the trolley line.
We'll also have a DJ with appropriate period music.
Attention car owners: We welcome your entries into the show. There is no pre-registration required. Simply arrive at the museum between 8AM and 9AM on the day of the show. Admission price: $10 per antique automobile. The first 100 cars will receive: We also have spots open for special exhibitors.
